Plow bolt is a special fastener with a flat head and a square beneath the head similar to din 603 carriage bolt mainly  used in snow plow used in snow season. #3 head size is most common size used in plow bolt(Din608) used to attach to the moldboard of a plow bulldozer or grader and are best used for applications where the fastener head is subjected to excessive amounts of wear and tear . Plow bolts are used to bolt the blade to moldboard and with nuts also used in road work for many snow plows and construction equipment .

Three types flat head plow blade bolts are available .The first type has a flat head design which provides a flush mount and zero tolerance within counter sunk holes. It also has a short square neck that prevents the bolt from turning while the nut is tightened during installation and are used in applications where low profile head is needed.

Second is doomed head which is designed with a heavy material on top of fasteners head and this domed head provides a greater amount of  resistance and reduces the probabilty of bolt and blade brokerge within the fastened assembly. It also features a deeper depth of square beneath the head that provides full engagement in square holes,locking the product in place and preventing it from turning during installation. This heavy-duty design is interchangeable with standard number three flat head plowholes  and elliptical head plow bolt.

The third one is oversized head plow bolts has a larger head size where the blade is manufactured to accept a larger head size than the hole drilled in the mold board increasing the wear resistance Increasing the life of fastener earth moving equipment ,mining ,agricultural department of transportation also known as ground engagement hardware bolt
