High Tensile
Hex Bolt also known as structural bolts is used in applications which are
having high stress on the fasteners. The mail differenceof high strength
bolt from the mild steel grade is the form of strees not the strength of
the material used. There raw materials can be EN8D wire or boron wire that have
higher tensile strength to produce these bolts and are usually usually
stocked in plain finish, hot dip galvanized or zinc plated. High
strength bolts are
generally grade 8.8 and grade 10.9, most of which are grade 8.8. The design strength of high-strength bolt
in tension and shear is lower in comparison to that of ordinary bolt. The
strength of high-strength bolt is due to its large rigidity, high safety
performance and strong anti-damage ability not due to its design value of
bearing capacity.
